The Fate of Teebeth

You stand in a surprisingly long, quiet room that runs the length of this side of Cair Paravel’s west wing.  The room is narrow in shape, and thus appears to be more of a long, unusually wide corridor.  Someone has constructed a series of shelves along the north wall, under tiny windows that let in only enough light to see by.  Torchwicks line the south wall that can be lit for additional illumination, and under them sit several wooden tables and accompanying benches.

The floors are bare, so your footfalls send hollow-sounding echoes through the marble walls.  There are archways at the southeast and west ends of the room — the west archway leading into the northwest tower, and the southeast archway leading into the common gallery.

Mateo is sat at a table at the library, he is reading a book which appears to be on the various peoples of Narnia.

Chlamash enters the Library and nods his greeting to the Librarian as he passes. He heads towards a nearby table with a book that seems to be about ancient Narnian history before the winter. It has quite a weathered look to it.

Mateo looks up at the sound of footsteps and stands, giving the entering Tarkaan a bow.

Road to Cair Paravel

This is a dirt road leading east and west along the narrow peninsula that extends from the Narnian mainland to the castle of Cair Paravel. The ground below is earth mixed with sand from the beaches that stretch both north and south from here. The road climbs gradually up a hill as it moves east, and at the top stands Cair Paravel in all its turreted splendor against the open sky. To the west is the center of Sted Cair, the small town which has grown up next to the heart of Narnia.

You can go: Beach <N>, Beach <S>, The Gates of Cair Paravel <E>, Town Square <W>

Lanisen keeps moving, aiming for the town.

A wolf with piercing eyes and a scar along her shoulder pads along the road, ears flicking this way and that.

Mateo walks up the road from the direction of the town, he seems to be heading towards the Castle.

Practice Grounds

You find yourself on a pretty, grassy lawn that runs along the north side of Cair Paravel’s main tower.  Most of it has been trampled quite a bit by feet and hooves of various sizes, as it’s been used as a training field for Cair Paravel’s resident knights.  There are a number of flagstone paths, though, that run around the perimeter toward some outbuildings.  There is a stable to the north, a wide, stocky watchtower to the northeast, and to the distant east at the end of the peninsula, the naval pier is being constructed. You can see the ocean beyond, stretching out in its twinkly blueness toward the horizon.  There isn’t much of a beach that you can detect from here, though.

A door in the north tower leads back into the castle.

Mateo is taking the opportunity of some quiet time to do a bit of sword drill, he uses a wooden training sword and occasionally strikes at a dummy that’s been set up.

Deonyc is doing his usual stretches before he goes into actual training and has various practice weapons set up, once he is done he does some stance drills with a partner

Mateo happens to catch sight of Deonyc and pauses, waiting for a break in Deonyc’s training before calling out, “Hello there”

Infirmary Garden

You stand in a corner of the gardens where the courtyard meets the castle’s walls, just outside the door to the Castle Apothecary.  The Royal Garden here is dominated by a variety of plants known for their healing properties, including small shrubs of blackberries, various wildflowers and assorted herbs.

The plants are well-tended and the walk is quite aromatic! Beneath your feet is a decorative path which leads south and west away from the walls. South leads to the door to the Great Hall, West leads along the wall and further into the garden, in the general direction of the main gates of Cair Paravel.

You can go: Into the Infirmary <E>, North Side of the Courtyard <W>, Stroll along the path <S>

Lanisen sits on a bench with his back to an old twisting yew tree, eating a handful of cherries and reading a book. The book is a different one from the one he was reading yesterday, this one bound up in green cloth.

Mateo walks through the garden, pausing in the middle to look around, he has a slightly lost expression.

Lanisen glances up alertly. He doesn’t call out, but waits to see if the other man is actually lost or just wandering.
